The graduating class of Kahuku High and Intermediate School will hold their commencement exercises on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the BYU Canon Activities Center.

Congratulations to my students for winning first and second place (different categories) in the Hawaii Stock Market Challenge. GT-2 division (first place) are Hunter Nery 11th grade, Carson Moniz 11th grade, Keanu Doroha-Pololu 11th grade and Ryan Lawrence 11th grade making over 5% interest over 10 weeks and all students win a $50 gift card.

“Congratulations to Ms. Liu’s AVID Class of 2018! All 20 students in the senior AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) class at Waialua High and Intermediate are planning to attend college next school year — 13 will attend a four-year college right after high school, six will attend a community college (five of them plan to transfer to a four-year college), and one will enlist in the U.S. Air Force and attend college while enlisted. These students were accepted to a combined total of 23 four-year Mainland schools. Seven have parents who use another language at home and 16 out of 20 students are first-generation college students. The Mainland schools students are planing to attend are: the College of Charleston, Cal Poly Pomona, Humboldt State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Montana Western, and Arizona Western College.”
