Maya’s Tapas & Wine Reopens to In-House Dining

The North Shore Marketplace retail shops and restaurants reopening…slowly. Tourists and locals are returning…slowly. And one of those restaurants seating indoors again is Maya’s Tapas & Wine, the upscale bistro in Hale’iwa next to Sterman’s Realty.

I featured Lamont Brown in the North Shore News two years ago when he first opened his lunch and dinner boutique. It is the kind of upscale eatery that Hale’iwa sorely needs more of (like Haleiwa Joe’s and the Beach House). The virus had reduced Maya’s Tapas to take out, but Lamont is pleased to be able to return to in-house dining.

Lamont who learned cooking and catering in the United States Coast Guards on a cutter here in Honolulu, thanks the community for their support during these stressful days by providing an affordable boutique menu featuring his unique cuisine. He is also full of gratitude to his faithful staff , who have been putting in 12-hour shifts.

In-house dining and lanai dining lunch hours from noon – 4pm, cocktails 4pm-5pm, dinner 5pm-9pm, Monday through Saturday. Malama pono.
