“We’re bringing something new, different and exciting to the North Shore, focused on chef-inspired comfort food. We also have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring a unique menu including an Eggs Benedict Pizza and Buttermilk Chicken and Waffles. People seem to enjoy the atmosphere and the positive, upbeat servers and bartenders,” says Dustin Pokrass, the active General Manager and part owner of Stormy’s Gastropub.

Stormy’s is located in the Haleiwa Town Center, where Luibuenos Mexican Restaurant previously stood. Dustin says the basic remodeling concept was to open up the space and let the light in. Diners can watch their favorite sporting events from any point in the restaurant. On Mondays, Stormy’s will have free karaoke for music lovers.

To create Stormy’s, Dustin compiled his over two decades of restaurant knowledge and partnered with Mark Cook, an entrepreneur and avid member of the skydiving community on the North Shore. Stormy’s chef, Sebastian Arango, a.k.a. Rasta, throws his artful flair on the fusion-style cuisine, inventing dishes such as the “St. Sebastian Torta,” which is a Spanish-style puff pastry dish, containing spinach, smoked provolone, and mushrooms, accompanied by a smoked red pepper salsa. “His Salmon and Feta Empanadas featured in our brunch menu are incredibly tasty and unique,” says Dustin.

The restaurant, open for nearly three months, has been positively received by the community, and Dustin really enjoys Stormy’s newfound customers and customer base. Dustin welcomes new patrons to approach him and introduce themselves, which they often do. On his free time, he likes to join the other shore casting fishermen in Haleiwa and Mokuleia.

Stormy’s is a first come, first-serve restaurant, and large groups can be accommodated. Stormy’s is also partnered with “Dude, Where’s My Food” delivery service. For more information, call Stormy’s at
