Sunday, April 28, was a beautiful day to ride in paradise on Oahu’s North Shore. With 700 riders, 150
volunteers and many more supporters who participated in the event, the bike ride brought many smiles rolling into the finish area at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park all day. Beyond a great day of cycling, the event put on by the Hawaii Bicycling League (HBL), raised awareness about the benefits of cycling and bicycle safety, including the Safe Passing 3 Foot Law, that went into effect in 2018, requiring that drivers provide at least 3 feet of separation when passing a bicyclist.
