North Shore NewsVietnam Veteran, Eugene “Dennis” Gold attended the 33rd National Veterans Golden Age Games in Anchorage, Alaska June 5 – 10, 2019. Veterans aged 55 years or older and eligible for VA Healthcare are able to participate in these games coordinated by the U.S Department of Veteran Affairs.
Eugene, a member of Team Hawaii, was one of approximately 30 veterans from Hawaii that also included members from Team West Oahu!
Eugene took a copy of the North Shore News to remind him of the support he’s received from our North Shore Ohana!
Ronald, Jackie Claunan, their daughters and grandchildren, now residents in Alaska, surprised him at his Table Tennis event, and witnessed his receipt of the gold medal in his wheelchair division. Mahalo to our North Shore Ohana, you da best!
