The North Shore Chamber of Commerce voted for its 2018-2019 slate of Board of Directors at its annual general membership meeting on April 26th at Haleiwa Joe’s.

Board members are: Marianne Abrigo, owner of Marianne Abrigo Properties; Lee Bryant, owner of North Shore Equipment Rentals; Sarah Cadiz, branch manager of First Hawaiian Bank; Robin Erb, operations and marketing manager, World Surf League; Howard Green, owner of North Shore Marketplace; Brian Hunnings, resort manager of Turtle Bay Resort; Bill Martin, owner of Island X Hawaii; Roderick Martin, licensed electrical contractor and entrepreneur; Marcia Murphy, branch manager of Pacific One Mortgage, Inc.; Bill Quinlan, retired; Charlie Teixeira, owner of North Shore Embroidery; Carolyn Unser, environmental scientist with Inclusion Environmental Consulting; and Glennel Warren,
certified financial planner practitioner.

After the membership meeting, the new board selected its officers. Howard Green is the new chairman. Bill Quinlan, outgoing chairman, is now the vice chairman. Marianne Abrigo is treasurer; and Sarah Cadiz is secretary.

In his new role, Green says, “I’m looking forward to a year of working together as a community to accomplish things people have wanted for a long time.” A long-time Chamber and Haleiwa Main Street member, he describes himself as a person with knowledge of how to accomplish things within both a community and political setting. “I plan to use my time as productively as possible,” he says.

The next Chamber membership event is a Pau Hana, an after-hours social and networking opportunity scheduled Wednesday, May 23rd, from 5-7 p.m., at the Chamber office located at 66-434B Kamehameha Highway, Haleiwa, across the street from the Haleiwa Post Office. Refreshments will be served. These quarterly events are planned to be
held at the Chamber office as well as other member businesses, upon their request.
